1958
Bashir Al-Midani was the visionary and founder of Midani Group. In 1958, he decided to venture his passion for textiles from Syria to Egypt. He exported Syrian clothes from his factory in Syria, and sold them through his chain of four stores located in Al-Ataba market in Egypt.
1959-1979
After one year of trading in the Egyptian market, Bashir's insight aided him to identify that the future of his venture lays in the viral Egyptian textile market. It was then that he decided to start manufacturing textiles in Egypt, and formed various partnerships to establish a group of textile factories.

1980
Bashir realized that his venture required faster growth. Aided by his sons he decided to establish Middle East Co. for Textiles (MAM), Midani's owned family factory, located in 10th of Ramadan city. The strategy was to expand vertically on the textile supply chain by manufacturing polyester yarn, knitted fabrics and textile services i.e. dying, printing, embossing and finishing.
1990
Bashir established another factory in 10th of Ramadan City, EL-Midani Co. for Spinning & Weaving. A step that was vital in the growth of Midani Group. The plan was to increase the capacity of our business operations and market share. Thus, additional production mills were established covering the same production scope of (MAM). In addition, Midani diversified their business and established an Acrylic yarn production mill.
2006
Nabil Al-Midani " Midani Group General Manager" and Samir Al-Midani " Midani Group Chairman" decided to further integrate within the textile supply chain and established Midani Man-Made Fibers (MMF). MMF was one of the first movers in the melt spinning process in the Egyptian textile market. Equipped by the state of art German technology, MMF manufactures dope dyed & chemically enhanced polyester yarn.
